Steindorf 2024-2025 Play Registration Closed!
It’s that time! This year our annual School play will be on February 13 and 14…quite a bit earlier than last year to accommodate more student participation. The Home and School Club is proud to partner with Starting Arts again and bring you Matilda Jr. Registration information can be found here: Steindorf Matilda Forms .
The play is open to students in grades 4-8. There are only 60 slots, so be sure to sign-up quickly.
Key Dates:
- Rehearsals will start November 5th and will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00pm - 4:30pm (no rehearsals when school is not in session)
- Dress/Tech Rehearsals are 2/10, 2/11 & 2/12 (exact time TBD but typically from release time till about 7:30-8pm) - attendance at these rehearsals is mandatory
- Performances are Thursday February 13 and Friday February 14 (exact times TBD)
This is an all-cast production, meaning that all students enrolled in the program will be cast. The first couple of rehearsals will serve as “auditions” to allow the kids to interact with and sing for the director (if they’d like - it is not required). The purpose is to allow the director to see how comfortable a child is speaking and singing on stage. These “auditions” are not meant to cause stress - they are casual and intended to ensure that students can be cast in roles that best suit their comfort and skill level.
Please remember that signing your child up for the play is a commitment - your child is expected to be at all rehearsals for the duration of the rehearsals (unless they are sick). In fact, Starting Arts allows your child to miss no more than 3 rehearsals before they risk being re-cast or removed from the play.
